About the Role:

As a Core Data Product Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the direction of a leading investment data management platform. Reporting to a senior product leader, this role involves working with cross-functional teams—particularly product managers, engineers, and clients—to gather data requirements, perform detailed analysis, and build models and dashboards that drive smarter decisions across the organization.

This role demands both technical know-how and domain expertise in investment management. Your insights will directly influence the product roadmap, improve user experience, and help maintain data accuracy and integrity across key business functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers to define and document data needs for development initiatives
  • Analyze complex investment data to uncover trends, performance bottlenecks, and strategic insights
  • Build insightful dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau for internal stakeholders
  • Promote a data-driven culture across teams by driving insights-based decision making
  • Coordinate with engineering to ensure accuracy and consistency of data in production systems
  • Use data analysis and client feedback to support product feature prioritization and enhancements

Requirements:

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of experience in data analysis or related roles, specifically in the investment management industry
  • Deep knowledge of Security Reference, Trade, Analytics, Pricing, Accounting (ABOR/IBOR), Performance, Risk, and Custody domains
  • Understanding of capital markets, with expertise in equity, fixed income, and derivatives
  • Strong command of data management principles, especially data quality and governance
  • Excellent skills in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Clear and confident communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to varied audiences
  • Effective multitasker with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Exposure to Snowflake or similar modern data platforms
  • Experience with alternative asset management
  • Knowledge of machine learning and its applications in data analytics
  • Experience working directly with portfolio managers, traders, or research analysts

Education Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline
  • A Master’s degree is considered an added advantage
